Amy Margulies, MS, LPC, SAC

Amy has been working as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Substance Abuse Counselor for almost 30 years. She is also a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Provider (Integrative Psychiatry Institute, Boulder, CO, 2022). She is committed to offering trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapy services. Amy honors the many intersecting aspects of a person's identity and values each person’s lived experience.

Amy has long been fascinated by how people manage challenges in life. She studied comparative religion in college (B.A., University of Massachusetts-Amherst, 1978), then ancient Chinese philosophy and literature (M.A., UW-Madison,1985). After teaching Chinese language for a while, she realized she was most interested in what her students were going through in their personal lives and went back to school for her master’s degree in Counseling (M.S, UW-Whitewater, 1996). She has worked mainly in university settings until recently.

She also serves as a facilitator in research studies on psilocybin assisted therapy through UW-Madison’s School of Medicine and Public Health. Exploring non-ordinary states of consciousness is a great fit for how Amy views possible options for healing and growth.

Working as a Ketamine Assisted Therapist is a particularly meaningful way for Amy to combine her skills and training for the benefit of clients. All parts of you are welcome and Amy looks forward to meeting you.
